It all began with an ice storm - literally!  In February of 2021, the same winter storm that struck Texas continued eastward and came right down my road.  Several months earlier, I had felt impressed to have a few crucial items on hand in the event of an emergency.  After all, I had my elderly Mom to be concerned with and couldn't risk being without a back-up source of heat and other essential necessities.  God gave me a simple plan which I implemented, not knowing that we would come to need them in just a few short months.  While given our specific situation, it still wasn't easy to be without power for several days.  But, by God's grace and mercy, He brought us safely through. 

 

Unbeknownst to me at the time - through this very experience - God had been setting me up for ministry throughout this entire journey!  As I shared our testimony, God began opening doors and platforms for me to share our experience with others and the "I" became "we".  My sister (Lori) joined me and we both realized more and more just how important it was for us to help inform God's people about the importance of being prepared at all times for emergencies, as well as for the difficult times just ahead.

 

Fast-forward...  The "we" expanded.  With the help of close, like-minded, Christian friends, we launched Exodus In The Journey in November 2021, adding our newest team member in August 2022. And as they say, the rest is history!
